POINTS OF EMPHASIS

1. Host teams for STATE TOURNAMENTS have option to play in District Tournament with understanding that they may only advance if they finish 1st or 2nd in District Tournament.

2. Host team to be allowed in all divisions and that team must play in game number ONE of STATE TOURNAMENT play.

3. Sanction Fees - There is only 1 fee for Tar Heel Leagues, Inc. and that is $35.00 per team.

4. Allows team that has dropped to 8 players in a game to return to 9 players later in the game.

5. All bats listed with BPF of 1.15 and Junior and Senior League bats not to exceed 2 5/8″ in diameter.

6. Pg. 39 - Circle shall be 16′ and defensive coach cannot come closer to bag than 15′ hash mark.

7. Pg. 45 Rule 3.09 - Eliminate suspended game and everyone will follow same restrictions.

8. Radar guns are prohibited at all levels of play.

9. Pg. 49 Rule 6 - All star rosters not to exceed 13 players.

10. Pg. 52 Rule B - Number of umpires from 3 to 2 for district and state play.

11. Girls 14 up and 17 up shall pitch from 43 feet.

12. Age of bat person shall not exceed that of players in game.

13. General rules apply to League Play, Official Rules-Apply to Tournaments.

14. At all levels of play, catcher must wear full head protector and shall have detachable throat protector.

16. Face shields will be mandatory with 2011 season in all Softball Divisions.
